I had the website open all day to occasionally refresh throughout the day and the moment they added inventory, the website immediately crashed until the bots cleaned out their inventory. This is really getting to be ridiculous.

I have pretty much given up on actively trying to get one. If I happen to be browsing and somehow have the opportunity I’m going to take it, but I don’t want one bad enough to keep wasting my time trying to beat bots through the order process. At this point I might as well see what AMD has to offer, for all I know the 3080 will see a price cut then anyway.

Current build: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, ASUS PRIME X570-Pro, EVGA RTX 3080 XC3 Ultra, G.Skill 2x16GB 3600C16 DDR4, Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, Sabrent Rocket 1TB, Corsair RM750x, Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B, Phanteks Enthoo Pro M, LG 27GL83A-B

I think the best thing to do for everyone is just wait it out and not buy the marked up stuff.  The only way they learn their lesson is if enough gets released that their stock is worthless and they lost a portion of what they spent due to market oversaturation (when stock is actually adequate).

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar

It doesn't have to be bots. There are more than enough regular people who can sell these out in one second.

this in particular is a bit strange as usually you get a bunch of people acting like they won the lottery getting a card (which it basically is, except you pay a lot of dollaridoos for a ticket). not that my anecdotal experience matters but i spend a lot of time here, on reddit, etc and ive seen maybe 5 people actually report getting any card, and zero founders cards. the guy on here with the bottlenecked 3080/8700 is the fifth lol
