Introvert or Extrovert

Okay guys,

As the title suggests, I'm asking a general question, you can choose to answer or not, but what I'm asking is the following question:

• Are you an extroverted or introverted type of person?

For me, believe it or not, I tend to lean towards being an introvert. I don't want to be but it just seems to be the way I am. However, I am trying to be more extroverted and I believe I've gotten much better than I use to be. I will talk to someone I barely know if it is necessary. I wouldn't go an hide and get all nervous (lol). I probably would say that I'm 60% an introvert and 40% an extrovert. Well at least I think that's the way it is.

I don't know how I would classify myself. I'm perfectly happy just being alone on my PC or whatever, it doesn't bother me at all. At the same time at school or social situations I have no problems making friends or talking to random people.

Introvert, I really have to fight myself to talk with someone I don't know personally. However with my friends and generally people close to me I'm a lot more relaxed and outgoing, not a complete extrovert tough.

I don't mind being an introvert; it doesn't mean I'm antisocial and live like a hermit. Having a few close friends is good enough for me.

I enjoy being alone but I also enjoy being with others and have no problem talking to random people or making up a conversation with anyone

I've always been more of an introvert. When I'm around people I know, such as friends, I feel comfortable talking. I just stay quiet when I don't know anyone around me, but sometimes a random person will talk to me, and I usually can't think of anything to say.

You just said it. "a lot more".... Many researchers have determined that people have both introverted and extroverted personalities if you will. Bear in mind that there are always counter arguments. I don't quite understand what you didn't feel was quite right about my post. Was it the "almost no computer nerds"? I will admit that that does play into a pre-conceived stereotype, but not all stereotypes are false, the current poll shows that there is definitely a larger proportion of introverts. Did you feel that my changing of traits was the issue, I will also admit that I became introverted before I got into computers. But that's a topic for an entire different time. It is possible to change how one behaves and their traits either through mental effort or if said person experiences some kind of trauma.

I'm usually more of an extrovert... before I had to speak English 100% of the time in my new school... I'm not American.

 

Now it's 65% introvert and 35% extrovert.

that last is mostly my problem, i don't think people understand what it truly means to be introvert or extrovert, in fact it doesn't have anything to do with being shy in the first place, it's more than that, it's a way of thinking it's how you function and how your brain is wired, you don't become an introvert by ceasing to be social, being unsocial or awkward, having a hard time talking to people doesn't make you an introvert, it is true what you said, theres no such thing as someone who is truly only introvert or only extrovert, that person would be absolutely insane, people have abit of both but some lean alot more to one over the other.

I'm pretty introverted even around friends just because I let the others do all the talking.
