“mvn not recognized as an internal or external command”

Hi, 

I have this error “mvn not recognized as an internal or external command”

(on windows 10)

I have correct environment variables

JAVA_HOME =  C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11
MAVEN_HOME = C:\maven

 

They are added to the path

%JAVA_HOME%\bin

%MAVEN_HOME%\bin

 

I restarted my machine

 

But I still get the error message when trying "mvn -version"

all I can say is make sure mvn.exe is in either 

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11\bin 

or 

C:\maven\bin

I would manually add both 

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk-11\bin 

and

C:\maven\bin

to path as well just to be sure, the 'mvn not recognized as an internal or external command' just means it can't find the executable.

you mean instead of the %...% variables ?

yes, I know that it should mean the same thing but I've always manually entered paths.

are you sure there is an mvn.exe (or .bat,.cmd) in one of those folders?

alright, I'm retarded, I downloaded maven source not binary so I was missing the whole bin directory
