Good Websites to Spam F5 on 9/17 to get a 3080?

In France, large online stores still don't have RTX 3080... Even, on NVIDIA website, it still marks "notifications"...

It seems like it's the same in the U.K.

It wouldn't surprise me if there weren't actually any 3000 series in the country right now, apart from the seeded review sample boards.

And even if there's still some available later prices will likely go up...

(and you'll have to do with a non cool looking bog standard fugly led overload "AIB" ... the horrors)

A few lights you can easily turn off,  not anything to complain about, and the FE card does have LEDs on it.

Unless you're in a rush to get one at launch, like those that panic sold their 2080 or 2080Ti and don't have a backup card, IMO it's worth waiting to see how the AIB cards compare.  I always go for the AIB cards myself, the EVGA XC, Asus TUF, and MSI cards all have a nice sleek look or aren't too "gamer" , the EVGA i'd take a sharpie marker to those red accents however.

Well, Newegg crashed, Amazon didn't get a blip, and Nvidia's site didn't show it unlocking.

And in less than 10 seconds, it's showing out of stock on Nvidia.

I think you're right.  Been spamming the NVIDIA site and it literally just went straight from Notify Me to Out of Stock.  I find it hard to believe they sold a single card in the time it took me to click refresh.

This really leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.  I mean I know there was always the theory of a paper launch, but for it to be so transparent is disgusting.

Same thing here.

Also, it seems tech retailers are being flooded. Scan and Overclockers are pretty much offline at this point.

Same thing on my end.  "extremely limited stock" would be an under statement.  They probably didn't actually have any stock beyond review samples.

Maybe Moore's Law is Dead was right and it's just a marketing ploy. It'd be interesting to know what exactly's going on.

Wonder if you were experiencing some type of browser caching on the page and it took a while to update.

I don't get it, do they really think that the anticipation is going to make us want it more?  I just feel royally pissed off right now.

I switched to a different browser to check that, I suppose if it was caching at something like cloudflare, I don't know if/what NVIDIA use.  Surely a shopping site is designed NOT to cache important things like stock availability though?

Yeah i was way off on that one. Every german online retailer who has the cards is completely down :D not even a chance to look at the site.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
