Hey, I have found this deal on Australian Facebook market place that's selling a 1080 for $300 USD. Im a bit puzzled if I should buy it or not, especially since COVID and Australia sucks ass for PC parts. Thanks yall

I mean I don't know how prices are like where you live but for 300 bucks. You can get a 2060/5600xt which performs similarly and Is new and comes with warranty. If they're priced way higher then it's not that bad of a deal. Though I would test it if possible. 

Or like you said ask if it was used for mining. Or generally ask a couple of questions just to be safe.

Seems decent, I guess. I can't find any new 1080s in the Australian market to get a price comparison on, but a 1660 super came up for $350 AUD, and the 1080 outperforms that. 2060s are going for like $500-550 AUD new.

Totally depends on the value of new GPUs in your area. If the RTX 2060 is significantly more expensive, get the 1080. If not, get the 2060.

 

The 2060 will be slightly slower, but come with warranty and be more power efficient. Decide for yourself how much extra you would pay to get warranty.

 

Id say for an extra 50-100 usd is worth getting the 2060.
