Suggest please RAM for 3700x

Hey guys. 

I was suggested to buy 

G.SKILL TridentZ Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C15D-16GTZ

And it run out of stock in Israel. 

I can order from Newegg, but I do not know how long it will take to arrive. 

So I would like to know, if there are any other good options to combine.

Cheapest 16GB 3600Mhz Cl16 kit.

 

Usually a Ripjaws V kit can be found for around $70-$80 USD.

What timings is the 3200MHz kit? Its usually  4-10FPS difference depending on the game.

Here's the memory I used in my 2700x rig before I moved it to HTPC for the family.

 

This kit does 4000mhz Cl16 on my Intel rig.

If you aren't gonna overclock then you're gonna want a different kit than a 3600C15 kit.  You'll probably have to fiddle with it.

 

Find a 3600C14 TridentZ Neo kit.

Wouldnt the Trident Z be worth the extra money? I bought ripjaws 3600mhz cl 16 and I kind of regret it since the timings leave much to be desired, and ram is important for Ryzen and I plan on keeping this ram if I upgrade later. If I was in his position I would go with the TridentZ.

If thats the case why not get an X570 mobo? I have no opinion im just curious. B550 seems like something youd choose if you were on a strict budget.

TBH I thought it was a 3200MHz Cl16 kit that OP had listed, definitely the C15 kit is the best choice.

The only reason I wouldn't go this route is that Gear Down Mode will change tCL from 15 to 16 and timings would become 16-15-15-15.  The new Neo kits work around that by changing tCL to an even value of 14.

 

So if OP doesn't mind lightly "overclocking" the RAM then the 3600C15 kit is great at today's prices.  I have two of them.  OP will just have to hop into BIOS and make a few minor tweaks in timings and voltage.  But if OP is up to that then OP might find that tuning that 3600C15 further isn't very difficult at all.

If all on auto and enable XMP, gear down mode is then automatically disabled to allow the XMP odd cas latency ftw....

I'm not sure all mobos behave the same.  Mine will do that, but I've seen others that reported different.  It's a super easy fix though.

I agree though. B die cl14 or Cl16 would be good to go.

The ram Iinked has gone up in price since a couple months ago at 119$ now is 170$.

Bummer so much, but worth it while it'll scale well and give the least issues imo.

The 3600C15 kit is still only $125 on Newegg though.

I suggest any 3600MHz kit from the QVL list of the motherboard since then the chances for all running smoothly without issues is higher.

QVL list is at board release time and generally doesn't get up dated. 

 

SK Hynix kits {corsair} are a pain in the ass.

They dont clock up well, but, can tighten timings well on most kits.

My experience is if the QVL list says X brands are gonna hit lower MHz then the kits are suppose to on said board get another board or another stick... :I
