First build OVERPAYING 14yo KID

That motherboard looks like a Z490 Maximus Formula instead of a Z490 Maximus Hero in the picture. The VRMs on the Formula are meant to be watercooled, while the VRMs on the Hero have heatsinks on them, so they can be cooled by the case fans. So, make sure that you are not getting the Formula.

Oki; thx for the helpful information :3

Is this more reliable than the samsung one?

both have a TBW of 600tb

so yes according to the data provided by the manufacturers ( Samsung and Kingston) they will both last probably the same time

@c3dric69

that would mean you could write and delete every day about 320gb of data for five years ( correct me if I’m wrong)

but just in case : always make a backup

in terms of indurance or? this was meant to replace the crucial P1 that @gloop listed.

if you want something with similar performance with the 970 evo then go with this

https://be.pcpartpicker.com/product/zR3H99/adata-sx8200-1-tb-m2-2280-solid-state-drive-asx8200pnp-1tt-c

though if you are only gaming, you dont really need 970 evo levels of performance, even a regular SATA is completely fine.

I wouldn't even plan a build with a 2080S/2070S right now.

Wait for Big Navi/RTX3000 for sure. Once those are released, then get back to planning this build.

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1

If you absolutely have to build now, then yeah that's a pretty good build.

Though honestly, I'd wait for the next gen of Nvidia cards. They're significantly better and only a couple of months away.

You're 14 though, so I assume just impatient.

As for your questions:

  • Go with 3600 mhz for the RAM
  • The 10600k and 10700k won't really see much difference in gaming. Save the money, go with 10600k
  • You don't need a Samsung 970, something like the SX8200 Pro is likely cheaper and will feel the same
  • If you're worried about cooling, you might want a case that more adequately cools your components

this is a pretty beast of a machine. have fun

2TB is more than enough for CoD....even 800GB is more than enough, while still having the ability to install multiple other games.

Intel makes far more sense if he's just gaming, it's the superior performer across nearly every title.

So you're mad that they were really far ahead with their architecture?
That makes no sense.

They've certainly seen improvement. Their chips today are better than the ones 6 years ago.

True, and as long as you realize that someone can come along and say they spent considerably less and get way more performance than you, and it won't bother you, then it's all fine.

If you can go with a reliable air cooler. I suggest the Scythe Fuma 2 if it’s available. It’s as good as a 280mm aio
