New MB from ASRock

Has anyone seen a review on this MB?

Check this out on @Newegg: ASRock Phantom Gaming B550 PG VELOCITA AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard https://www.newegg.com/asrock-phantom-gaming-b550-pg-velocita/p/N82E16813157934?Item=N82E16813157934&Source=socialshare&cm_mmc=snc-social-_-sr-_-13-157-934-_-08022020

As you know I am trying to wait for the X570 Tomahawk to come into stock.

Curious if this would do a good job also.

Looking for longevity more than OC/Power.

Looks like a steel legend with different looks. (Could be wrong though). If it is, the steel legend is solid. It can power a 3950x. But the x570 tomahawk is indeed better.

What are you powering and budget for the board?

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Iirc it's a badly marked up Steel Legend. I'd much rather get a B550 Aorus Pro, unless you need the POST code, which is also cheaper at $180.

I’d get a B550 Tomahawk or the X570 Tomahawk. I have the B550 and it’s great!

As @TofuHaroto and @Mateyyy have said, it looks a marked up steel legend.

Do you really need x570?

I keep wanting to have 2 M.2 PCIE4 drives instead of one.

I should take everyone's advice and get the B550 boards that have been suggested.

Not sure why I ask so much about this stuff. Maybe because I haven't bought a MB since 2011 or 2012.

Well it's your money in the end, but really most of the time you'll barely notice a difference between a SATA and an NVMe drive, and the difference between a 3.0 and 4.0 drive is even smaller.

At around the $200 mark, options other than the X570 Tomahawk are the TUF X570-Plus and X570 Aorus Elite, and both are pretty barebones in comparison to B550 competition at the same price.

Yeah sadly it is.if only someone would sponsor it. LMAO.

I can't even imagine the hours needed to publish a video on it.

You have suggested the B550. I saved it in my PCPartsPicker inventory. So probably just going to pull the trigger and get it.

Last choice is case.
