You can run anything, you can afford a lot of things but not everything.  There’s a lot of good 144hz 1440p in your price range which is solid 4k which you should be able to push no problem. 27” is totally in range.  I don’t know if 32” is or not.  Higher end 27”1440p 144hz or bargain basement 32”.  I’d go for the 27” myself.  It’s already pretty big.  32” is getting to the point that it causes problems with sitting close. I’ve got a 30” wuxga and it’s ranging on too big for desktop.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

LG 27GL850,

no point in TN til 300hz/360hz comes out

VA is a personal preference, u either really like it, or completely avoid it. for VA, shell out a bit more for a samsung g7

would not recommend 4k at 500-700usd. 1440p's where it's at.

1440p@120hz is 4k gpu wise though.  It’s confusing terminology. 4k would be 4k@60hz. 4k@120hz is 8k  1440p@144hz is sort of like4.5-5k which he can still more than handle.  Something with good synch might still be needed.  He may hit over +150fps high in a triple a game, but might also drop below 144 sometimes so synch will Still be needed.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

ya i'm still not used to the terminology, just that i almost never mean 60hz anymore, what i meant was that i can't recommend 4k/98 or 120hz over 1440p/144hz due to gpu limitations, though ampere will come close to solving it with with dlss3.0, i'll be mindful to type it out in full from now on (1440p/144hz, 1080p/240hz etc.)

Yah.  It’s annoying and subject to change.  It used to be that 30hz was the standard.  Then it went to 40hz.  Now it’s 60hz.  A lot of monitors will do 75hz a few will claim 75hz but not be able to actually achieve the number.  This applies to 120, 144, and other numbers as well.

This would be that low end 32” I was speaking of.  Low end seems to be getting better.  Bunch of reviews on it.   Reading specs it seems to be most proud of its bezel thickness and 31.5” viewing size.  It seems to be edge lit LED and I’m not seeing a nit rating so I’m assuming unimpressive. Has AMD adaptive synch but not Gsynch.  It will work on that 1080.  I’ve seen some statements that imply adaptive synch has some limitations compared to gsynch.  I don’t know if they’ll matter or not in your situation.  This may be more common than not.  Did see some statements that dead pixels can occur which seems to be a more and more common thing.

At this point I personally wouldn’t buy any monitor I couldn’t immediately check and instantly return if it had problems. Issues with screen flaws is becoming more and more common more or less everywhere.
