should i wait for RTX 3k series for a gaming laptop?

i was planing to buy a gaming laptop and made a conclusion that the best spec i can do right now is:

  • RTX 2070 Max-Q (8gb gddr6)
  • i7-10750H
  • 2x16GB 2933 SDRAM
  • 1Tb m.2 nvme ssd
  • 144hz 1080p display

on and hp omen laptop. that will cost me 1900 USD where i am. (HP site for full spec)
should i wait for the new RTX series so that the gpu prices will drop?

and if you would indulge me:
i made this post on reddit on other laptops i've considered. the others cost more but i fear HP as my current laptop had problems with the screen and they had shit customer support. what should i do?
should i considered the features of each pc? or should i just look at the raw specs?

are there any alternatives you can recommend i look at? (hopefully ill find them in my country
i will be happy to provide more information of clarify things if i wasn't clear enough

EDIT:

forgot to add that this is also for coding and university. so i dont really need the big laptops with desktop gpus.

The mobile 2070 is slower than a desktop 2060 and sometimes not even faster than a mobile 2060 due to power limits. If you want extremely high performance, wait. The best mobile 2080 Super is only as fast as a desktop 2060 Super.

I'd try to get a laptop that doesn't use a Max card.

You won't really see the prices drop immediately on release of the new stuff. It's not like people are swapping out the GPU in a laptop, you get what you get.

Also, the mobile variants don't come out at the same time, and I haven't really seen any information on them. So you could be waiting quite a while.

If you can wait 1 year+.. Sure

They usually release those gpus in laptops much later. They will probably release the high end gpus this year and stuff like 3060 and 3050 by 2021 and then laptop gpus even later.

unfortunately all the laptops i found here are in my price range  are Max Q. should i import by myself? it will also saves me about 15% on price but i worry about the warranty. will i be able to send it to a lab in my country or not... for example. i know hp offer warranty themselves so i contact them and not the importer.

how long do you recon it will take for the new laptops to come out or at least for the ones i want to drop in price?

well, i dont plan to buy the new GPUs. my wallet will implode. but i do hope that it will drop the prices of the 2k series. though i read that they are really pricey for their performance compared to what the 1080 used to be and so on

there are links to each laptop i found interesting in the reddit post i linked. though i don't think the site can be viewed in english. may be google translate can help. some of them main ones are     zap.co.il    -     ivory.co.il   --   ksp.co.il    --  bug.co.il.
its ok to just make a recommendation and ill search for an similar spec here or ill just order from abroad. (we have a very limited options compared to north america and the translation will be hell for you)
