Thermal paste on waterblock

Hello, here is the thermal paste spread on my ryzen 3950x with a corsair waterblock. Is that a good spread or is it too much paste?

That's fine.

Other than being messy having too much paste does not reduce any performance.

Yeah looks fine, if anything it's probably a bit too much. Were you experiencing abnormal temps?

I don't think so, i was just wondering because i was taking the loop apart to add a gpu. I have a ryzen 9 3950x oc to 4.25ghz @1.28v and it idles at 40C and 73c max on an avx workload

I agree. Unless it's electrically conductive. Then you're fucked if it gets in the wrong places. lol

Don't quote me on this, but I think very few are(so pls dont hold me responsible if you break your pc by shortening it out with thermal paste lol)
