R9-4950X Later Release like R9-3950X

Anyone heard if AMD is goin to release their R9-4950X at the same time as the other processors or if they're goin to delay it like the R9-3950X?  I'm lookin to make a Top Tier Build once parts are released, so I'd prefer to have the R9-4950X, instead of the R9-4900X; if anyone has any useful info on this, it would be greatly appreciated.

We don't really know. Though iirc the 3950x was delayed because AMD couldn't get it into a state that they were satisfied with. That's why it got delayed iirc. This one could release down the line and it could not. We don't really know.

I'd assume we'll see the 8 core parts first.  Will probably have to wait for the 16 core part as it requires higher-binned chiplets.

No info but I expect there to not be delays. AMD's not moving to brand new process node this time so no big yield issues. Besides, this time there's a last gen 16 core model they need to replace
