Is this a good deal?

Chriz6097

my friend got this in his mail yesterday http://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-MCE86-S-II-Hypercardioid-Microphone-Accessories/dp/B00178J7M6/ref=sr_1_1?s=musical-instruments&ie=UTF8&qid=1393699491&sr=1-1&keywords=Beyerdynamic+MCE+86+S+II as an ebay mess up. He would sell it to me for $200 but I'd need an audio recorder to use it. Do you think I'd be worth it? Is it a good mic?

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

what would u use it for? if its for skype and such then no.

I am an "ammature" film maker. I can see this being useful but I'm not sure If its worth the upgrade from a $70 mic I bought.

If you have dolla bills to burn, go for it. But because you are low level stuff right now, I wouldn't really bother.

I do plan on going to film school in a few years too.
