Windows activation Keys

So for better or for worse i have finally suffered some issues from not having an activated version of windows. (Its been 10 years so i guess im not particularly upset)

All of a sudden i cant personalise or change certain settings nothing huge and i do have some anti virus installed AVG FREE.

I will probably reinstall to windows 10 home as i currently have windows 10 pro installed and that's like 200 GBP for a license, home is still around 120.

I need to save up for it and either way will buy a genuine code but, in the meantime is there anything i should be aware of or any genuine workarounds to help for now

and yes im a terrible person ... a habit from 10 years ago when i was earning f*** all. (Excuse)

You can get an OEM key for like €6

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

You can buy a key really cheap from eBay

most of these though have some good reviews some 1 star, defiantly pirated ones.
My boot drive supposedly came with a windows key but i tried that and it had defiantly already been used

 

worth a punt for £2!

Windows keys are now linked to Microsoft accounts, so a copy of windows on a boot drive would only work for the original guy

Just keep in mind that sometimes those cheap OEM and Retail keys are actually Volume MAK product keys that are not-for-resale. MAK stands for Multiple Activation Key. Each MAK key is a good for a specific number of device activations. When you try to activate your MAK-configured software it will connect to Microsoft’s activation service, verify the key, and subtract 1 from the number of activations still available. Activation counts are not “returned” when you wipe a hard drive or reinstall your operating system.

Considering Win10 is only one letting you to run it for more than 30 days without completely locking, you haven't had it for 10 years. Maybe 4-5 years.

 

You've used it for free and key is $120. So $30/year, under $0.01/day. Just pay the full price.

I haven't used activated windows, not windows 10 :D  so it was 10 years x

Buy from a European seller on Amazon. Largely thanks to Germany, it's 100% legal to re-sell Windows licenses (of any kind).
