I need advice for cpu coolers

so, i am going to get a threadripper 3990x and i got unlimited budget and i want advice on what cpu coolers are very effective at cooling this cpu, if you could, please make it simple as i am a amateur at building pcs, like maybe a AIO cpu cooler. thanks!

there is a sub-forum on LTT, But you also have to inform people about Watercool or not. Anyway those guys are the real nerds and you have to go check that out

Have you built a PC before? Looking at the CPU, I'm gonna estimate that the build will cost around $5000+, which is extremely expensive for a first build.

 

 

What is your case?

Noctua nh-d15 (chromax or not). It’s the best air cooler that I know of. Air coolers are easier to install and are more reliable than aios.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

These high end CPUs are all cooling limited, so there's no "what CPU cooler's good for this CPU". Better coolers will always let the CPU go faster. Only problem is what coolers you can buy.

3990X for a first build..?
