New pc for gaming and 3d (budget 5000$)

Hello everyone

Iam building new pc for gaming+ 3d work (60/40). Already choose these parts:

 

Case: fractal design 7 xl (221.6$)

Cpu: intel i9-10900k (550$)

Mobo: GIGABYTE Z490 AORUS Master (369.99$)

Gpu: rtx 2070s (temporary untill new nvidia cards) (580.53$)

Ram: g.skill ripjaws v 32GB (209.1$)

Psu: Evga supernova 1000 p2 80+ platinum 1000w (299.18$)

Storage: sam 970 evo plus (399$)

Mouse: logitech 903 (115.55$)

KB: corsair k95 rgp platinum (159.99$)

Fan controller: corsair commander pro (74.29$)

Fans:noctua NF-14 (8Pcs 215.2$)

 

Now for the case  iam planning to water cooling in future

Any advice or opinion ?!

Considering you are using it for work, air cooling is more reliable, which would be a plus. 
 

Wht exact 3D modeling programs are you using? You might be better off waiting for Zen3.

What sort of 3D work? 3D rendering generally tends to take advantage of all the threads you throw at it, so it'd make a lot more sense to go with a 3950X instead of the 10900K, considering your budget.

Also, $400 for a 2TB 970 Evo is ridiculous, considering you can get a PCIe 4.0 drive for that money.

You do not have to wait for Zen 3. Zen 2 is good too.

AMD 3rd gen is still faster than intel in this use case, I would do that instead.

You don't get it. Zen2 is already better than intel. Zen3 will simply but a A LOT better than intel.

 

TLDR: the 10900K is a space heater and power hog that can't beat the 3900X, let alone the 3950X. Either get Ryzen 9 or wait till the end of 2021 when intel have something serviceable

not to mention it's not even multi-rail. you can get better psus for half the price.

With $5000 as your budget, you would be able to get the best components available out there. Getting an AMD Processor would have been better but since you prefer using INTEL's chip that's also ok. And you are thinking of using 2 TB's of 970 EVO but isn't that price a bit expensive and can't you go for other PCIe 4.0 drive for the same money. Anyway, good luck for the build and i hope you end up building a fantastic build. Do let us know of the final components of your build and also share the performance

Actually this is my 1st build so i have no background, and picked most parts according to the  highest rating in amazon and newegg

a 650W psu would be enough.

 

Look for a corsair txm rm or rmx

or a bitfenix whisper

or a bequiet straight power

3rd gen motherboards will support 4th gen CPUs. But by the time you will want to upgrade (assuming you don’t every year), it will be a different socket.

 

I don’t think you really need a 5k machine though. With 2-3k, you should be able to fit a 2080ti and 3950x or higher. So, are you set on 5k or can you go lower? I will work on a parts list for you.

Yes. An X570 or b550 will work fine with Ryzen 4000

 feeling that you are very angry . FYI i can get that build without posting a thread or asking you here(in the end its my $$$). But because i have no background no experience so i needed some advices and opinions. If you have any certain parts or recommendation can increase preformance or reduce the cost and getting same preformance you are welcome

Were mostly arguing in favour of AMD because it's a far more advanced CPU currently. The 10900K, at its core, is still the same design from 2015 but with no power limits. Hence why it draws 300W to power 10 cores Vs 180W on the 3950X (which also has 16 cores).

 

Not to mention the massive intel security issues and potential for exploits with the SGX.

 

Overall, intel are in a very bad spot and they really need a new design. It's very evident that the 2-3% gaming lead due to latency is not saving them at all as over 90% of retail CPU sales for 2020 have been AMD Ryzen. And with Zen 3 (Ryzen 4000) offering up to 20% more performance than 3rd gen, Intel will be hard pressed to catch up considering their next actual redesign is scheduled for the end of 2021/early 2022

No problem for going lower , my idea to build pc for +5 years. For the gpu it was temporary choice till nvidia new gpus
