Acer Nitro N50-600 Upgrades

Hi everyone!

 

Back in March, I purchased the following PC: Nitro N50-600 Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB Hard Drive, Nvidia GTX 1650 Gaming Desktop - Black Original Webpage

 

I would like to upgrade the PC by adding a SSD and I need some advice. I have an unused M.2 slot so I am looking at purchasing something like this from Crucial - SSD Would this be sufficient?

 

Then, once purchased how do I go about ensuring that Windows loads from this and not the HDD included?

 

Thanks in advance, this would be my first time at doing so!
