Gaming Wireless Headphones

Hello everyone,
I was looking to buy a gaming headset. For what i've seen until now the Corsair Virtuoso RGB (non-se) are a good choice.
What are the best gaming headphones that also have a good quality microphone?
I am new to the audiophile world, so i don't really know where to start. Thanks in advance.

Never really understood what "audiophile" classifies as. Sorry if i have used the wrong word.

Anyways my budget is around 200EUR, which are ~224$ US

yeah haha not a big deal. is there a reason you want wireless and a headset? cause if you don't want convenience then you'll get better results with wires and a dedicated mic

Not really, I just thought that it was the best option for convenience sake. I haven't really a specific reason to want a headset other than a dedicated mic and headphones except for believing it's more convenient

I'd say... DT 770 pro 80ohm with antlion modmic uni
always my recommendation for people new to the audiophile world.

You can always upgrade your DAC and get a better amp than the onboard sound. I'd say start with an FX audio Dac x6 or fiio q1. Maybe even going a little bit more and get the Sound blaster G6. Got some consumer friendly software which is really good.

Thank you man, I know this might seem like a stupid question to you, but is the audio quality much better than a headset like the corsair virtuoso?

Yes yes. Of course. You can't beat audio that is wired. NEVER. Maybe in the future but not right now. Also I always avoid brands that are good at like keyboards, mice and stuff like that. They seem to target "gamers" and they don't always get it right with audio.

I had the logitech g633 headphones. I thought they were good. When I got my dt 990 pro I would never go back. Also it is important for you to get the 80 ohm version or the DT 770 because they are easier to drive. Unlike my dt 990 pro 250ohm.

Another question, is a DAC really necessary or can i roll with my mobo audio inputs? (my motherboard is a MSI Gaming Plus Max)

You could do with another dac but for now stick with your mobo dac. It is more than enough to power 80 ohm headphones. It is a different story with 250ohm headphones or more.

I will recommend 3 dac/amps that will most likely suit your budget if you have one.
The FX audio DAC X6.
ifi Zen Dac (NON BLUETOOTH VERSION)
Sound Blaster G6.

Now if you want more software and better accessability go for G6.

Want a cheaper product go for DAC X6

Want a higher quality one go for Zen DAC.
Now I would choose the G6. Personally I like when you have software so you can easier change your EQ and other stuff.

Also, what about the jack? I saw some massive jacks which i guess are meant to be put inside of DACs. Does the DT 770 pro have the same kind of jack or is it just an adapter the one that is included in the box?

The Zen dac and FX audio DAC x6 has a 6.35mm jack or quarter inch jack. The dt 770s come with an adapter that you screw on. the "normal" jack is the 3.5mm.

Note: There is no audio quality difference between the huge and smaller jack. I've heard the smaller ones break easier but that might be false.

Also those I recommended are DAC/amps. Which means they are both DACs and amps together.

oh, i see now. I will upgrade to one of your DAC/amps later on but i think that they won't fit in my 200 euro budget. So to get things straight, will i be able to just plug in my mobo the headphones with the adapter that has come in the box and call it a day?

Yes but the big adapter goes on the already normal one. So no need to worry. It is in the box which you can use if you buy a dac that needs the big one.
