MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and 3600mhz memory

Hi everyone! So I'm currently ordering the parts for my new rig and went on the msi website to check out the b450 tomahawk max. I'll be using a Ryzen 7 3700X and I would like a TridentZ RGB 3600mhz cl18 8x2GB kit. The website DOES say that it can support speeds upto 4133mhz but I believe that's only for 1st and 2nd gen Ryzen. Can a 3600mhz kit work with that board if the cpu is a 3rd gen one?

Cheers.

Idk where you got that from but no

That Includes any ryzen chip

Either way that doesn't have to do with the cpu anyways

Here is a list of all memory sets this motherboard supports with Ryzen 3000 (press 'compatibility on the left and then 'Ryzen 3x00'): https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX#support-mem-19

There are a 100-something sets that have been tested to work at 3600Mhz.

Yes it will work but I would recommend a cl16 set instead.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Also I might add

QVL lists are technically inaccurate since they can't test every kit / stick ;)

Any kit for the most part should work
