[SOLVED]Needed: Cisco NSS 324 Firmware and Package File

Hi All,

My old Cisco NSS 324 had some software issues last night which caused me to do a factory reset.
Despite having to restore all the Data i have lost the MyphAadmin package that was installed.

If any one could assist in tracking down Firmware 3.5 and or the MyphpAdmin package that will work for this NAS that would be good.

PID VID:  NSS324 V01
Serial Number: QNP141700U8

it goes without saying, if you can then contact cisco.

any random configs could brick you NAS.

looks like qnap makes the 3.5 fw the upgrade from the 1.5 on this model.

i did a bit of hunting.

I found the following :
https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=58764

At the bottom there this:
For those keen on the old 3.5.0 build, here we go - derived the links using some guessing:

Thanks Robin,

i will have to give this ago after all my data is transferred back to the NAS drives. If i brick the system i guess it just makes me need to buy a new NAS.

Any luck on finding the MyPhpAdmin package for the cisco firmware. I am currently on firmware version 1.1.0
If i am able to get a hold of this package file then i wont risk the firmware update.

I am surprise i never kept a copy of these things when i originally did it a few years back. Stuff like that i usually keep.

https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/general/Test/rochrist/nss/admin_guide/NSS32X_Admin_Guide_OL_21155_v1.4.pdf

I see in the above guide in just references "You can install the phpMyAdmin package to manage your MySQL server." but it doesn't give version numbers or links.

https://www.phpmyadmin.net/downloads/

https://www.phpmyadmin.net/files/

PHPmyadmin still exists their website seem to have legacy versions all on there (scroll to bottom)

If you know which version then there a good chance. If you don't then you could wing it :/ but "winging it" is not exactly a "best practise"

I've not used
PHPmyadmin , as my experince is all enterprise with this kinda kit and not all that much at that. So can't really give any further advise :(

Thank you once again, i will have a look around and see what i can do. I also don't want to wing it neither as i would rather keep the $500 - $1000 AUD in my pocket instead of a new NAS

Good luck :)

Thanks.

Well positive news. for my version of i looked up the MySql version i was using on my NAS by putting a phpinfo.ini file in the web directory. which then loaded via a web page.

so the version i needed was 3.5.1 and once downloaded, extracted and configured i now have access.

once again thanks for all your help. i might leave the firmware version for now :)

Is it the TS659-pro you need?. is so see link below?

https://www.qnap.com/en-uk/download?model=ts-659 pro%2B&category=firmware

note there is a 659 pro, 659 pro ii and a 659 pro + each likely to have different drivers.

i guessed the URLs last time based on their naming conventions but ive tried a few different guesses and all now say not found or forbidden. I suspect they tidied their backend naming to stop this kinda thing.

There is hope however...

this active forum guy says their helpdesk might help... log them a ticket n see?
