Best 40$ boot drive

What would be the best ssd/nvme for 40$, don't really want to go over that. This would just be a drive to boot off of and keep a couple things on.

I just bought the Timetec 256gb SSD from Newegg for $31 shipped - benched it last night (don't have screenshot on this lappy) - it benched as good as my Samsung 840 pro.

 

I haven't done sustained testing on it, but its a damn good boot drive with 1 or 2 games for that price imho.

Did it really perform as good as an MLC based SSD ?

Not sure of anything on this item other than cold boot times are sub 20 sec and it was 550read 450write on crystaldiskmark - didn't have any further time last night to test it

Me too, glad its working out for my use case - I was a fan of Patriot and Team Group products from Taiwan long before they were a standard US name on pcpartpicker builds so I was hoping that same luck would pay off.
