No phone contact and domain details hidden. Also some numbers won't add up (claims to have been in operation since 2008, domain registered in 2014, US business filed in 2019).

Just purchase from Aliexpress, or maybe try Gearbest if you want the sketchyness and s***ty warranties those standalone sites have even when they're not scams.

How does one find information such as this?

Googling basically.

Check About Us and Contact Us. Read ToS and Shipping details. Search domain at who.is. Also if there's any flail in emails etc. like different domain name, search with that. Scammers are often too lazy to spend time customizing their sites.

Hello there, I see interesting theories here. If Scammers USUALLY are to lazy to spend time customizing their sites, maybe Moderators on forum are usually too proud and want to pretend that they know everything?

Domain details are hidden to prevent takeover, and this is common practice. I guess Moderator should know this. If no, this knowledge might prevent conspiracy theories in the future. Domain is registered though for Bludiode's European Transactions LTD.

We so far collected ~15K orders, and as we started in UK in February/March, not much in here yet, but can see some reviews on trustedpilot.com. We delivered so far ~100 items to UK.

If you are unsure if site is legit or not - pay by credit card, then you got ability to charge back. Make sure that you are not inputting your card data to some PHP script, and it's belonging to some big card processor to prevent data loss. Best - confirm cooperation with the site and processor before inputting data. Big card processors are reviewing company's structure and not signing agreement with companies with unknow shareholding/signatory structure. Visa and Mastercard requirements are to president of company reside in the same region as company.

I hope this would be enough for now.

Don't know anything about the company. but the response made by the user implies that its either fake or they are not affiliated with the site.

If it's real and they are, I just wouldn't do business with them based on that post alone.

A representative shouldn't respond to a 3 month old topic and act like a child when someone posted something potentially negative. It just screams bad business.

Dear sir or madam. My status as moderator on this forum doesn't have anything to do with my opinions on how I see certain sites. All information I have said here apply on most cases. So I don't pretend I know everything. You make that assumption. Anything I say that isn't part of moderation of this forum is personal opinion, usually based on personal experience or facts.

I'll give that to you. Thats good point. As moderator I'm not expected nor required to know how websites are done. My purpose is to keep forums clean. As such, I suggest you contact admin if you really are representing company so they can go through our rules for company representatives.

As moderator I also have access to some extra tools. I'll let that sink in.

TrustPilot.com is not something I particularly look when evaluating sites. Granted, I don't have account there so I don't know how they verify if account belongs to real person or not.

Your registration in UK checks out. But that doesn't actually mean anything to me. I don't have access to numbers or personnel details, something that I would have access if you were registered in my country.

I personally won't input CC details to any website I don't have strong info about. CC details are too easy to steal or distribute to third parties, something which has happened to me. You don't have PayPal as option.

Also, in case you are representative of actual company. Being petty in the internet isn't very good start. Next time, contact me with PM and we can work things out.

Had a look for some reviews of this company. There have been a bunch of reviews on TrustPilot that have been hidden by Bludiode (pending review from TrustPilot).

After reading some of the reviews that bluediode haven't hidden, the common complaints that I have read for the company are that it takes months for orders to be processed and for customers who do receive their order they have to pay additional taxes and fees as the item was shipped from outside the EU (China/Hong Kong).

Even the positive reviews are saying things along the lines of they got the item they ordered but it took weeks or months for them to get it or that it came with the wrong accessories (eg. China power plug)

This was one of the responses from Bludiode to a review on Trustpilot

image.png.c5e6a96949ffa09acf7ffc0b17e39a68.png

It's concerning that they're requesting that credit card information from buyers. I would also be concerned about whether or not this company is securely storing such sensitive information from customers. Do you trust that they will store that information securely or that they won't be hacked resulting in your credit card details being exposed?

When you read their reply you see that bludiode doesn't appear to be actually selling anything themselves. They're just placing an order for you on your behalf from a seller in Hong Kong and it's the Hong Kong seller who ships you the order. Don't waste your time giving this company any of your money. If you want to buy from a Chinese or Hong Kong seller then just buy from them directly or from AliExpress.

My opinion on this company based on the customer reviews I have read as well as the responses given by the company representative is that you should avoid dealing with this company.

This being the most worrying part as I don't remember seeing mention of it in ToS. Usually marketplace sites have mentioned that they aren't selling anything, just acting as platform. Which is fine, if its mentioned clearly.
