yeah i have intel graphics... on cities:skylines

Hey there,

 

 

Bought Cities:Skylines and then found out it requires no intel graphics (i have intel graphics)

 

can i still use it and it will under preform or will it straight up not run?

 

(i have Intel i5 2557M, MacBook Air 2011)

Cinebench R23 score: 9097 (multi) 1236 (single)

 

don't some things look better when they are lowercase?

Reading online it seems that it will run, but it'll run terribly.

Well the minimum requirements for the game are at least 512mb of dedicated discreet gpu data. I'm not totally sure what will happen but with such a old cpu/igpu, even if the game allows you to launch (which I doubt it will) It will probably crash, but I think it won't allow you to play them game, or it'll straight-up crash.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

HD 4000 is 3rd gen. But either way, people on Steam and Reddit seem to report similar levels of performance between Ivy and Sandy bridge iGPUs in this game.

 

Though sometimes I would take their advice with a grain of salt...

what just happened is you bought an actually quite heavy game from 2015, and expected it to run on a thin and light from 2011.

It will run on HD4000 and even be somewhat playable. But CPU power is also required to run simulation and load the game.

 

It was bit better when there were more mods to improve graphics settings.
