Issues with AMD GPU drivers

Hello!

       SOOOOOO i was planning on getting the rx590 GPU from sapphire when i came across a lot of threads talking about how bad AMD;s driver support is. could someone please educate me as to what are the issues faced when updating amd gpu drivers, and if theyll cause any major performance and compatibility hinderances?

There aren't really any major driver issues with AMDs older cards, like the RX 590. They did have driver issues with the 5000 series cards for quite a while, though I think most of that has been sorted out by now.

The rx 590 is just an overclocked rx 580... Just get the RX 580. AMD driver support mostly have issues on their newer cards. Correct me if I'm wrong but the RX 580 is mostly ok now. The issues are with the 5600 5700 etx.

so if i were to purchase an rx590 now i wouldnt come across many driver issues?

 

also should i get an rx 580 or 590, theyre both priced the same here in india

the rx 580 and rx 590 cost the same in my country so which one should i get?

It should work fine.

 

The 590 is a higher clocked 580, if they cost the same you may as well get the 590.

The driver issues are old. Current drivers are good

The drivers as of now are good and have no issues or problems.

Had no issue with my Vega 56, mainly the issue is with 5000 series which does not use GCN like the Vega & 500 series did... UwU (also 5000 series just be careful not update every driver ya get, got a stable one? stick with it!)
