Good fittings from bitspower, good radiators from HWLabs.

They basically failed on the only thing they actually sourced themselves. Should have also sourced the blocks from EK or Watercool xD

Jay confirmed a design flaw in the waterblock port design.

I would not buy these now since Corsair will likely release a fix, but if users have them already, they can minimize the potential issue by tightening the screws under the Dominator Style port cover holding the ports to the block.

It wasn't a secret that the GPU blocks in particular were built 'cheaply', and then sold at a relative premium.

The modular design was done so to reduce manufacturing costs and the part thats leaking was also made cheaply.

The corsair blocks for the RTX 2080 start at £140 for a reference block

While EK has them for as low as £105.

Thats not to speak of other manufacturers offerings.

Long story short, Corsairs GPU blocks are overpriced. And as we have seen, also poorly designed.
