PC restarts after playing games-is my PSU dying?

Chris Redfield
Hello everyone,

I'm playing The Witcher 3 for few days and my PC started to restarting while playing without BSOD,it just restarts.
I played for 4-6 hours per day without problems, but sometimes like today it restarts after only 30 minutes.
I know that may be dying PSU,but I ran OCCT stress test for more than an 3 hours and max CPU temps are 88c max while average is around 86c (I have very small case).
I haven't overclocked anything.
Here are my PC specs:Windows 10 x64
LG 27UD58-B
MSI Z97 PC Mate
Intel i5 4670K with aftermarket cooler (link below)
https://www.lc-power.com/en/product/cpu-cooler/lc-cc-120/
8 GB RAM
MSI GTX 1080 Gaming + 8GB
Coolermaster G550M
I can't swap PSU to check is the problem in it,so I'm using OCCT.
I even ran Catzilla because I heard it could be good for testing PSU,and it went fine.
I'm aware that my PSU wasn't the best choice for my GPU,but that's another story.

Is there anything more I can do to test PSU?

What do you think?

maybe run AIDA64 and stress all at once

or reinstall windows that could get rid of any software problems

I will run AIDA64 with OCCT,but I hope reinstalling Windows will be the last option.

Well PSU is a first suspect, you need another one (decent) to test and confirm that.

Yeah,I know.Unfortunately I'm not available to get another one,and I won't be for next month or so.

I was hoping there's some other way to test it like some sort of stress test or software.

I looked at EventManager and here is the result:(pictures below).

I will try to stress test it with AIDA64 and OCCT both at once.

Downvolt the GPU.

How much should I downvolt it?

I never done that so I'm not sure.

Also, will downvolting decrease performance in gaming?

Until PC stops shutting down. It's temporary remedy, until you replace the PSU.
