Can I make money from Folding@home

I have seen many Youtube video that i can make money from Folding@home

Is it possible?

Afaik no, folding@home is for donating your resources. Mining is similar, but you most likely won't profit from it after considering hardware and electricity cost.

 

Edit: If you fold for a team like CureCoin, you can get coins which can be exchanged for cryptocurrencies.

Maybe, the FoldingCoin system might be interesting, but it's probably not worth my time to set up on my (relatively) modest gaming rig, so I don't feel like trying.

Hey there. Feels bad mentioning it, since on the LTT forums we have our own F@H team, but Curecoin is a thing. You don't "make money" directly from folding for the Curecoin team, but you receive CURE currency that you can exchange for other cryptocurrencies, which in theory, you should be able to convert to physical currency.

 

I think the actual turnover seems to be negligible, though. I haven't looked into it too much.

This stuff is basically the same as mining, except less profitable. ^^^

And mining already isn't profitable, so if you're looking to make money you should get a job.
