Oh well, I mean the improvements over Skylake is minimal based off of it still being 14nm process. Its basically a 3 year old rig that will still perform for a couple more years...

I would break the price down like this:

  • cpu: 150
  • Mobo: 100
  • AIO: 50
  • GPU: 500
  • RAM: 100
  • PSU: 80 (they are very expensive right now)
  • storage: $120

so total that would be: $1,100 us. Sorry I don’t know your market. I would list it at like 1200-1300 and expect to sell it around the 1,100 mark.

Is that "brand new" or "used" pricing ?

Considering you're not selling it today, we can't really tell you what would be a good price in october/september. Prices change. Especially in the used market.

What you can do, is just checking the Sold Listings for your parts on ebay. That should give you a relatively good idea of how much people are willing to pay for them.

Also, do take note that there is less money in an already built PC, compare to if you sold all the parts separately... Unless you find someone to buy it off you locally for a slight premium.

IMO, if you want to sell it, I'd part it out. Because you can reuse the case, SSD and even RAM since 3200 is more than fine, to save yourself some cash.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

So you are selling a whole pc to just get a gpu? How are you gonna use the new gpu without a pc, unless you planned on doing a whole system upgrade.

Quote me or @TwilightRavens if you want me to see your reply. I may go inactive for a long time from time to time because I forget how to socialize, but I will be back... eventually.

So I'm going to be building a brand new PC, I'm going more or less all out when the 3080 Ti comes out. I was thinking about selling things separately as well, but Swiss market isn't that big for these kinds of things. And the PC was build and used by me

Well I was hoping for the PC to pay for the GPU, the system is going to be on the High End. Unless something mayor changes the rest is going to be around 2500$ + the GPU

other than you know the 7700k is about to beat by a 100$ R3 3100x.

no one will know the price in a few months.

I'd recommend selling the board+CPU now and getting that soon before it actually becomes a 200$ combo.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. I'm sure the 3200x will be very comparable, but I doubt that it will out right beat the 7700k let alone the 3100x.

4 ryzen cores at 4.4-4.5ghz will beat the 7700k unless the chips OC to well above 5.1 or 5.2 it is going to be a hard sell.

its only 1/2 a chiplet and if you go a little voltage heavy which even a cheap board can do the 60-75A needed to max it out it will OC.

my point was waiting longer will just result in the value being lost even more.

Remember your selling used so there will be an automatic 20% depreciation on value.

Its slower in most games than the 7700k. If you watched other reviews you would see that it in fact does not "reck" the 7700k. Its a fair matchup, but the 7700k is still slightly faster. Would I buy a 7700k over a 3200x? no. If you overclock the 7700k its lead will grow, especially because of the limited overclock-ability of ryzen chips.

My point stands the 7700k is going to lose value fast.

Bruh, I never said the 7700k wouldn't lose value. I just said it wasn't going to be "outright beat" by the 3100x, which it clearly isn't.
