I'm upgrading from my 660 Ti to a 7970...can't wait to get it in the mail!

What's your next (or current) PC upgrade going to be?

Aww so jealous, all I have at the moment is Intel's HD 2000 which is pretty good considering where I came from but still want to play Modern Warfare on full.

Next upgrade in my work in progress has to be the RAM, I'm thinking of Corsair Vengeance Black 8GB DDR3-1600, should do the trick

DESKTOP - Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-D3H Processor - Intel Core i5-2500K @ Stock 1.135v Cooling - Cooler Master Hyper TX3 RAM - Kingston Hyper-X Fury White 4x4GB DDR3-1866 Graphics Card - MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning PSU - Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 850w  HDD -  WD Caviar  Blue 500GB (Boot Drive)  /  WD Scorpio Black 750GB (Games Storage) / WD Green 2TB (Main Storage) Case - Cooler Master 335U Elite OS - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate

More then likely I will probably get one 770 or a 780 and one 8950 or a 8970 when they come out. Test them out and see which one will be my choice of card.

660ti to a 7970 is a strange upgrade... Please tell me you either sold or returned that 660ti, otherwise upgrading to a 7970 isn't worth it at all.

Anyway, I usually will buy a gpu and then skip a year. For instance, I had a 5870 and I upgraded to a 7950 about a year ago. So, my next upgrade will be a 9950/9970 (assuming AMD continues with their annoying numbering system). Unless the 700/8000 series ends up being drastically better than the current generation which it likely won't be, then I will wait it out. My 7950 should be able to play games fine for the next year or so.

Next upgrade would be GPU, currently have a 560ti. I was thinking about finding another one for cheap and putting them in SLI, still thinking about it. Anybody know if the performance is good from personal exprience? If not I'll just save for a single GPU solution.

I've had it for less than a year already but probably from my Coolermaster V8 to a custom loop. I'll probably hand the Coolermaster V8 down to my buddy when I build him a computer for graduation.

lol my 470 is 90 degrees in every game ever! Crysis 3 on med-high? 90 degrees. Minecraft? 90 degrees. It's like the fan will only spin enough to whip it down to 90 no matter what.

Regardless, it sounds like a freight train.

I did however manage to record some sustained peak temps in certain games between 84 and 88 simply by swapping the thermal paste! Woo!

(Can you tell that I'm excited for the 770?)

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I'm inclined to agree with Villain - changing from an already great current generation card to one that is slightly better and also the same generation makes no sense whatsoever, monetarily speaking.    You'd be much, much better off getting an addition 660 ti to run in SLI if you really want the extra performance.
