Painting/Dyeing trim on hardware?

PigeonFX

Hi,

Does anyone have some tips for products to look into for changing plastic trim component parts, want to switch some white parts to red, but ideal be able to mask areas off and end up with a durable finish that wont chip away like a paint, thinking Vinyl Dye could be a good movie but thought I would check here before committing.

 Vinyl Dye

wouldn't this be for vinyl stuff, since it is suppose to penetrate... I would just use something made for plastics in a spray can.  Whatever you use just make sure you do a good prep job and you should not have flaking problems.

For something that will get abrasion something like a vinyl wrap will work well as it's also removable, as said though with proper prep and priming of surfaces the paint will not chip unless abused.
