Whats the best racing game money can buy nowdays?

depends on taste, this will probably just start a war.

I like iRacing for paid, ACR Racing for free, and CSR racing for iOS/Android/Mac (kinda an on-rails experience, but I still like it).. There was another one, and I can't remember what it's called.

GT6 for ps3 is my vote. dont know too much about racing games. only that th GT series is just amazingly realistic imo

The last Forza on the 360 was pretty nice too, other than the fact than in some places it brings your car down to like 25 MPH.

Oh. iRacing is the absolute best, and ACR is free and is of a similar caliber.

I tend to like more simulation games, i have not tried Test drive unlimited 2 but it looks like a good concept, asetto corsa looks amazing, nfs rivals also looks great but too unrealistic, if you want to drive you could try Euro Truck Simulator 2 or LFS but they don't have the best graphics.

 

For consoles there is the GT6 and Forza 5 war.

 

Also Next car game looks good and if you want rally the Dirt series is quite good.

Grid 2 is pretty good on PC although i Always go back to The old NFS games like Underground/Underground 2 :D

Well, I haven't really played that many racing games, just cause (no pun intended) it's hard for me to find something that I can really enjoy. I love the Burnout series, my favorite one being Burnout 3 Takedown. I've played Need for Speed, it's good and all, but not something I absolutely adore playing. The experience would probably get better with better equipment, like an actual racing wheel. 

 

But Burnout 3 will probably remain to be atleast one of my favorite racing games for the rest of my life. B3 is unfortunately not on PC though, which really sucks.

I personally don't enjoy 9-string guitars, but that doesn't change the fact that they look awesome as hell!

Assetto Corsa is pretty cheap atm and has great ai I hear.  Also maybe project cars, not really a sim though

i loved NFS most wanted, under ground 2, and under cover. all those can be for PC recently i quit racing games because of how stupid they are getting. i love the GT series though

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

I'm playing NFS Hot Pursuit 2 right now(From 2002).It's amazing even now.

I've had such great time with it then...
