400w enough for rtx 2060 and i5 7400

water bottle

My specs are:

i5 7400 (waiting for i7 9700F)

ga-h110m-h mobo (waiting for msi z390-a pro)

rtx 2060 windforce oc

corsair VS400w

8gb 2400mhz ddr4

I was wondering if the 400w psu could handle things until I get my new cpu and mobo and then buy a new psu so I can use them, was thinking a corsair 650W 80 plus bronze (i think its overkill, but it'll probably handle future upgrades)

Sorry for bad English.

its rated for a 550w a 400w being short 150ws i would not risk it plus does your 400w have a 8 pin power for the card

The 400w PSU has enough wattage.

The question lies on how good the 400w powersupply is.

It being a VS (probably grey label) suggests its fine to run, but should probably change it very soon.

it its grey label and it will be changed in 10 days or less, you think the cx650 from corsair would be a good fit?

It doesn't have one, I suppose I can't connect 2 4pin into a 8pin right? Is there a adapter I can get?

Its got 2 EPS connectors, but not a 6+2 pin connector?

Because checking the specs on it. Its supposed to have 1 4+4 pin and 1 6+2 pin

Edit: or a 6 pin. In which case that connectirs rated wattage is borderline. And probably should be run. Especially with the lack of UVP.

It probably has? I don't know if what I said was correct, if you found the specs and it says it has a 6 + 2 ping it probably does have it

Edit: found the specs here it has a 6 pin pci it seems? Can you help me here? First time searching about this stuff

yeah it has a 6 pin.

and checking the spec page it requires an 8 pin. id suggest not using the powersupply with the GPU as to avoid the possibility of going out of spec with the cable
