PSA: No, I didn't waste all that money on computers, (except the main one) my server cost $40, the intel NUC was my old PC (although then it had 8GB of ram, I gave the bigger stick of ram to a person who really needed it), my laptop is used and the second PC is really cheap.

I like tinkering with computers and have a personal hatred towards phones and everything they represent (I daily drive an iPhone 7, or a 6, depends on which one works that day)

I wouldn't recommend using toothpaste instead of thermal paste, it is not as effective at transferring heat than proper thermal compound or a thermal pad like IC Graphite. You can get decent thermal paste or a thermal pad for under $10, please don't try to substitute toothpaste as thermal compound.

Hope this information post was helpful  ?,

8 grams of mx-4 by Arctic cost something like 10 bucks. And enough for lot of re-paste applications...

Life is really challenging. I don't always suceed: )

India might suck right now but I'm SURE, unless you're a student living at home with parents who refuse to get anything for you, that you can get Arctic MX-4 from *somewhere*??

Try Ebay.
