1: How can I get the 144 Hz option to show up

2: How do I turn on G-SYNC when it is not showing up in the NVIDIA Control Panel?

1. Use Displayport

2. Use Displayport.

Your monitor only does 144Hz over Displayport:

Doesn't matter what the type of HDMI does in theory, your monitor still can cap it.

Freesync on Nvidia only works over Displayport too.

I just received a new monitor today, and I cannot get my PC to recognize the 144 Hz option. I am using the included HDMI cable to go from the monitor to the GPU HDMI port. I seem to see a lot of misinformation about HDMI 2.0b, but I should be able to have the option for 144 Hz if my understanding is correct

Here is a screenshot of my settings I see in my display.

I recently upgraded my graphics card to a 1660. Here is the link

I just got a new MSI monitor (1080p, 144 Hz). Here is the link

This monitor has AMD Freesync, but it is supposed to be G-SYNC compatible.

2: How do I turn on G-SYNC when it is not showing up in the NVIDIA Control Panel?

Thank you very much to anyone who responds. Have a great day!
