I bought the 5600 XT about 2 weeks ago and it has done nothing but give me a headache.

From black screens, to reboots, to system lockups... I can't watch 4K content. I can't play any of my games without the AMD drivers locking up.

They released I believe it's Adrenaline 20.2.2, and I will say, all day yesterday I didn't get one single crash. Today everything crashes.

Things that I have noticed for those having the same issues as I have, turn off anything outside of your games that may use any of your GPU while you're in game. Disable Xbox Game Bar, Radeon Overlay, Origin Overlay, and go to task manager and end the Radeon Software task. This will buy you about an hour or so of uninterrupted gaming, but that's about it.

As for me, I will be returning this card to the store, and going to Nvidia. I will be purchasing the ASUS 2060 Super 8GB Strix

I so badly want to support AMD, but this is ridiculous. I shelled out over $300 for this card and it doesn't work. Further more owners of the 5700 XT have been suffering with these issues for what 7 or 8 months now? This is truly unacceptable.

AMD Ryzen 5 3600, ASUS B350-F Gaming, Trident Z RGB 3200MHz 16GB, PowerColor Red Devil 5600 XT, NZXT H500, 1x512GB Seagate Barracuda NVMe, 2x2TB Firecuda 7200RPM, 1x250GB Intel SSD (Cache), 1x4TB Seagate 7200RPM Ironwolf (Backup), 650w EVGA Bronze

Agreed.

I mean, I'm all for buying the best product for the money, but having better performance for less money doesn't mean you can drop the ball like this.

Nvidia, IMO, is simply the better buy. At least it works.

Yep.... it's the reason why I stopped recommending AMD cards to others on here, it always takes them an insane amount of time to fix an issue, Radeon Relive is still as buggy as the day it was released too, what the fuck is going on there?

I'm sure that it ?

They at least have done so good with the CPUs. But come on now. It hurts worse when you put out a product that is (when working) as good as this is, only to follow up with crappy drivers that force people to go to another company. That hurts so bad.

They don't SLI though. Thought better I should mention that part. I use them for folding at home. (and occasional gaming)

I went though the same thing with NVidia when I got my 970. Issue after issue and NVidia blamed the cards for months+. Thankfully my shop was great and exchanged like 9 of them for me!! Finally NVidia admitted it was the drivers and after a handful+ of new ones finally started working right again.

? The fight they brought and will continue to bring with the CPU's and motherboards is why I'm rooting for them on the GPU front, disrupt that market and give nvidia something to cry about.

Ya at this point its just too many little mess ups that create a negative overall picture.

5700/XT launch with tons of buggy badness, drivers to this day are causing people issues

5700/XT reference cards sent with a cooler that made it either an RMA or do not buy

5500XT being a worse deal than a 2 year old, more affordable GPU (590)

5600XT bad/confusing launch and what seems like a repeat of the 5700XT driver issues

This gen is also not new at this point.  Months have gone by.  Their GPU dev team is just not on the level of their CPU side.

Which is a shame because we honestly NEED them to put out good stuff to get the price of Nvidia upper range down.  The 3080ti is going to cost 2 grand at this rate!

El Zoido:  9900k + RTX 4090 / 32 gb 3600mHz RAM / z390 Aorus Master

The Box:  3900x + RTX 3080 /  32 gb 3000mHz RAM / B550 MSI mortar
