Any ideas to get a 32in curved monitor to international airport

Rebin

So i bought a msi 32in curved monitor and i am worried about how to get it back home safely, it's way too big to fit it inside a bag and I don't think that the fragile sticker is any good, is there any way I can get it back home safely? I would appreciate any suggestions

Honestly I would never trust an airliner with it. I would say your best bet is to ship it through FedEX or UPS with insurance.

Shipment takes 30 to 45 days in my country so i don't think I can wait that long

Is there no express ups or anything like that? Worst case you could try returning it in the country you’re in and buying a new one when you’re home.

The thing is the place I bought it from don't have return policy and buying it from my home country is 150-200$ more expensive

Then I would try to find a decently fast shipping method or find a way to get it insured by the airline, what country are you shipping from?

FedEx has according to their site, 1-3 business day shipping out of Iraq. Maybe you want to check that out?

You might end up paying for the difference in custom shipping. If you don't want to trust check-in luggage handling of just box, getting big enough hard bag is option. Thats the cheap way. You can't take it to cabin. Not without paying extra ticket price for seat for it (musicians who travel with larger cello's and such use this style). Or go with courier service like FedEx. Costs probably more, with insurance.

Personally I would double box or crate it with extra foam blocks in between for a shipping company to take care of, remember to insure it. A good rule is expect the package to get dropped from a foot or two it should be able to easily absorb that and still have no damage.

You probably should have thought of that before you bought it, but basically I'm pretty sure you are not taking it on the plane and having it survive.

Unless you want to go buy a pelican box for it and then have it shipped inside it. Usually the packaging itself, unopened is sufficient for transport, but passenger planes are notorious for not giving a flip about how they treat things (literately they throw luggage from the plane, though so does UPS.)

Your choices are either buy an extra ticket for it and take it in the cabin, or try your luck with the checked luggage. I would personally just mail it and wait for it to be delivered , but if it gets returned or held in customers you are very SOL.

This is typically why you don't buy large things outside your home country, because not only does the warranty become void when you leave the country, but trying to have something serviced outside the market it was sold in can be impossible. You can buy anything you can take in carry-on, and nothing else.
