Better FPS for my system.

Fritz-Fabian

I'm new to PC building and PC stuff in general. I was wondering if i buy a expensive and good monitor, can that help my systems FPS. If so what cpu should i get in my monitor?

In advance, thanks for all replies.

So your monitor does not help with system performance. It can only display what you computer can send to it. So if you have a beast pc with a bad monitor, you will not be getting the whole experience.

But to answer your question shortly: No, you monitor can not help your system's performance.

As mentioned. A monitor cant 'help' your system become more powerful. However a crap Monitor will lower ur experience.

Also monitors dont have CPU's in them , at least not like TVs do.

When looking at monitors make sure to use review sites that actually test the monitors, not just those that look at specs. Sites like rtings.com, tftcentral.co.uk, and pcmonitors.info are good sources.

My advice.

You would ideally be prepared to spend $300 or more on a monitor. So long as ur GPU cost no less than $300, u should consider spending the same amount you spent on ur GPU, on the monitor as well.

When looking at monitors below $300, the difference in quality and features between a $100 and $200 monitor will not be worth the doubling of the budget, hence the $300 minimum. If ur on a super tight budget however and cant afford $300+ , just grab the cheapest monitor u can find, regardless of quality, that meets some basic requirements u need, like size.
