Posted February 10, 2020 Yea, your cpu is definitely a bottleneck. But before upgrading, ask yourself, is 180fps enough? Do you actually have 180hz+ monitor to view all those frames? There's no point upgrading if you cannot see the benefit. If you have to upgrade, an MSI b450 board (tomahawk and gaming max are very good) and a R 3600, or a 3700x if you actually wanna do some work like editing vids of blendering. I cannot recommend intel cuz the upgrade path is non existent ATM CPU r5 5600x Motherboard Arous b550 pro ac v1 RAM Tcreate 32gb ddr4 3600 cl18 GPU 1660 super Storage SN570 1tb PSU Corsair CX750 Audio Lots of chi-fi iems Operating System Windows 11 (lastest)
 Although for the PSU I'll advise you to wait until you find a banger deal (650w - 800w, gold, $80-$90) cuz buying a higher end psu will give you peace of mind and it will probably last longer and have better warranty. You also will not have to worry about power requirements cuz 99% of the systems will run easily on 600w of power 6 minutes ago, Fasauceome said: since used prices for the i7-7700 are terrible, Ryzen is the best option here.
