It refers to intel cpu's only. Does not apply to gpu's.

Hi, sorry for the long title, but I didn't know how else to word it.

So, I watched a techquickie video saying that a motherboard that doesn't have 'X' or 'Z' in that name can't be used with an overclock. I have an MSI Radeon 580 OC, and because I pla ost of my games in 1440p, I overclocked it (only in more challenging games) using the auto-overclock in Radeon software. So, as the title says, will that work? There's no specific motherboard I'm looking for I'm just trying to figure out what I should be looking at.
