Is a Q6600 and a GT610 still acceptable for gaming?

To buy or not to buy, that is the question. My mind is going kabloom just to decide. Why don't I compromise and get a 650Ti instead? 760?

You'll get to brag that you have a GPU that can get to/surpass 1400MHz (if you win the lotto).

You cannot SLI the 750 Ti. It sounds to me that you want the 660 Ti even though everyone wants you to get the 750 Ti. So get the 660 Ti then

Yeah, the 660Ti, you can SLI, but 750Ti OCs better and is more power efficient. What should I go for, upgradability with an older card for more performance, or single card performance?
