I dont know whats wrong with my pc. It is my First time building one following linus build guide. And for some reason every time i press the switch button the pc keeps turning on and off continously and does not boot, I tried switching ram and putting it in different ram slot, I still had the problem but it just stayed on longer then went on a loop again and no boot, I replaced everything even the motherboard but when switch ed the Cpu to another one it worked but i really prefer using the one i have now. Has anyone have an idea to what is wrong with the Cpu, please help

My specs:

I7-3770(i7-2600 currently in motherboard)

6gb Ddr3 ram

500watt EVGA POWER SUPPLY

Xfx rx 570 4gb and xfx r7750 1gb

Motherboard is gigabyte ga-p67a-d3-b3

You probably plug the wrong way the start/reset/HHD/Light on

Have a look.

Update the motherboard BIOS to version F7 available from Gigabyte's website. Older versions of the BIOS didn't support the i7 3770.

cheap

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

You can do that with with Ryzen platform. Used Ryzen 5s go for less than 100 USD.

yeah but you can get a 3770 for like $60, coupled with some super cheap DDR3 and motherboard it's a lot more economical than Ryzen for the immediate price to performance, plus OP can just save up and get a really killer AM5 platform once that's available

if you have updated the BIOS, it would be installed already. The BIOS is updated when it is installed.

Looks like the CPU shouldl be supported out of the box without an update.
