Dying GPU or just bad game???

Hi all,

 

I've recently been having issues playing Borderlands 3. I've got 4 days worth of gameplay without issue until this week. Firstly, the game would crash and freeze, can't close it down so I have to restart the computer. Now it shows artifacts and whole computer freezes then resets itself. I've attached a picture. I've tried different drives using DDU. It could happen within 5mins into the game. I can play Metro Exodus for an hour without issue though. So is there something wrong with my GPU or something funky going on with the game/my system???

This is GPU problem. I had exact same artifacts WAAAY back when I had GTX 550 Ti. And it also had selective crashing pattern. I could play Crysis 2 for multiple hours without crashing, but launching League of Legends would crash it within 10 minutes.

 

Getting new GPU completely fixed it. 

 

EDIT: Its not software issue. Such artifacts are a sign of bad memory chip.

Goddam it. Hopefully I can RMA it and get one of the newer RTX cards in return.
