Audio Jacks Front Panel For Headphone Not Working

Hey guys! I have tried plugging in my headphones to my front panel headphone jack but when i'm in Realtek Audio Manager(MSI version) it doesn't pick up that they are headphones and i also don't hear any ding at all when I plug them in.  However when I do plug my headphones in I hear the crackling noise of electricity  which suggests that the jack should be working. I tried looking up numerous tutorials of how to fix this but none of them work and i'm stumped. Can anyone help?

 

P.S- i also tried the troubleshooting thing of checking the box in realtek that says (Disable Front Panel Detection) which they tell you to used if the front panel is not detecting anything and it still doesn't work. It just makes the microphone image pop up on top even though i'm plugged in to the headphone jack and am not even using a microphone..

Did you confirm they're correctly hooked up on your front IO panel headers on your mobo?

I would also say the IO panel but if it's okay, try your headphones elsewhere.

I would see if the wire is connected correctly to your motherboard from the case.

The io is correctly connected I checked so its not that

Maybe the front sound is not working then.

I got it to show the headphones in realtek audio manager but the sound still doesn't work. i have 2 seperate audio drivers. I have Nvidia audio driver for my moniter audio and then I have Realtek for my headphones and speakers that I want to use.
