750ti i5 2500 Lenovo thinkcentre + 280watts psu

Keenanzie

Hi I am new to the group.

Is it enough to run 750 ti with oem system from Lenovo having i5 2500 and 280watts psu.?

P.s. i recently searched for 750ti power consumption and i found that a whole system with similar specs consumes only around 230watts.

Thanks i advance

Should be enough, though you are getting close to the maximum wattage.

The 280W PSU most probably can't actually deliver the stated 280W of power.

So I'm going to say no. You're going to need to upgrade your PSU. If your computer case doesn't allow for a larger and newer PSU, you're also going to have to get a new case or operate an open-air system.

will probably be fine if your motherboard's  pcie slot is compliant with pcie specifications of supplying 75w through it , not all prebuilt systems comply with it though , what is the specefic model of your pc ?

The power supply can deliver that much however not at high efficiency, that's why you find power supplies drawing more power than they are delivering.

Also the system consumes around 264W max including the gpu, mobo, cpu, a hard drive and ssd
