Win 10 fails to install cumulative update.

Go to solution Solved by Lurick,

I had a similar issue not too long ago on 1903 as well. What I ended up doing was downloading the Update Now tool from here:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

and running that, it took a couple hours but it ended up getting things back to a working state and updates since have installed fine.

Finally got around to posting about the issue I have. Here how it goes:

When I shut down my PC, it has to install the update "Update and Shut Down". It does the update and then shuts down the system. But when I boot it up the next day, it goes through updating but then at 100% it says "We couldn't install the update. Undoing changes". After that my PC restarts and bots as if nothing happened.

Anyone knows what the issue is? I didn't have any critical errors or crashes. There is plenty of space on C drive. No idea why it does that.

It happens when some part of windows some part of windows has gone curropt, you can try the method by our friend above or you can go for windows reset with files, if even that does'nt work you can just reinstall windows, should ix the problem

That solved it. Thanks.
