Best parts for price

Gmart10

Hello forum,

I currently have a budget of around $420 to upgrade my gpu and cpu. I know this is isn’t much but I am only trying to upgrade my gpu and cpu as I said. Also I am willing to use a used card if that is a better deal. I am trying to play games such as Fortnite. My current thoughts were a 1660 ti and ryzen 5 2600 but I think I should maybe do intel as I am not planning on recording or anything but rather just gaming. The only application that I would have open in the background is discord if that matter. Sorry I am pretty new to all of this and just enjoy playing games. If y’all could help me come up with some better parts in mind that would be great. I saw something on amazon about a founders 1070 for $248 but I don’t know much so I will see what y’all saw about all of this. Thanks for the help in advance .

current specs:

CPU AMD FX 8350

GPU XFX RX 570

I really have $550 but I am saving 130 for the new motherboard and ram

Yea I know that was why I reserved some money so I could get the motherboard and ram. Also does all of that fall within my range of $550. I don’t think it is

r7 2700=150, comes with game pass and bl3, insane deal

b450 with 2x8gb of ram ~150-200usd total

a 1660 super for 230usd is basically a 1070, no need to buy used, i'd just keep the rx570 for now and wait for next gen.

You can easily find 1070 Tis on eBay for around $200. RAM is about $60, motherboard $80, CPU $190. Seems to fit to me.

I have heard stuff about 1070tis on eBay for 200 are scams. Isn’t that insanely cheap for a 1070 ti

No, they're not scams. You just have to buy smart. It's not that cheap for a card that's a couple years old. I've picked up a couple 1070s for $100.

I don’t know how to tell if it’s a scam by “buying smart”. I am just worried that I’ll lose out on my money. I would like to get a 1070ti. Do they let me try it out first?

No, they don't.
If you aren't willing to learn what to look for, then buy new.
