Windows 10 for free?

The Friendly Elite
Go to solution Solved by Kilrah,

You can buy a key for $3 on eBay.

So I'm currently looking for a way to get Windows 10 for free. (Currently working on a new build) so is there a way to get it for free without the watermark or pirating it from a sketchy website?

You can run windows 10 without a license, but you will get a watermark. Not paying for windows is considered software piracy and you will not get any answers for that on this forum.

Nope. I guess you could get super lucky and find a PC or something in the trash that has a sticker with a code on it that works, but the chances of that are super slim.

Just buy it or use Linux; it's better and completely free.

The watermark does not get overlay on fullscreen applications meaning it will not trouble you during game.

Having that in mind just using Windows 10 without the license is the best way to go.

Yes, install Win7 pro, then use the upgrade tool right from MS to update for free. Works fine.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

A code for Windows 7 or Windows 8 will usually work for Windows 10 (without installing 7/8 and upgrading to 10)
