Amd 220Ge vs pentuim 5400 gold

Both of these cpus have similar prices and I was wondering wich will give best performance and what gen of an intel i5 or i3 will they match. Are these better than a stock i5 2500k as well and im also pairing with a gtx 1060 3gb

Personally, I would spend the extra $10-15 and get the Ryzen 3 1200 or 2200g (quad cores). Both CPU's you listed are VERY low end but the pentium is slightly more powerful. I'm not completely certain they wouldn't bottleneck your GTX 1060

Unless this is a basic work email PC, saving $15 just is not worth it.

Ryzen 1200 is often found for 55$ but let me answer your question.

They are both very close within each other but  the Athlon 3000G just came out for 50$ and its unlocked meaning you can OC that to 4.0Ghz pretty easily and it will beat a 5400G at that point i would still go with a 220GE if you can't find that 220GE

Note that these are just 2C/4T CPU's and the 2500K will still be better at stock for multithreaded tasks.

AM4 platform is SO MUCH better for upgradability i mean just today Amd has a bunch of Ryzen 1600's for just 85$! That's nuts when it comes to performance per dollar.

I'd say they are both around a I3 4360 or so

I don't even care what this site says check Ebay i just found the Ryzen 1200 for 61$ on their and its new

Here is the Athlon unlocked 3000G $49.99
