Hi im bluiding my own gaming rig 2nd rig iv ever made being the last one was maybe 5+ years ago iv got the case/psu/gpu/ssd

but my concerns stick with the mobo ram and cpu iv picked out what i believe is a good setup but am i wasting money or can i save somewhere

my mobo is asus p8z77-v lk lga 1155

and my cpu is a intel core i7-3770k ivy bridge 3.5ghz

and my ram is corsair vengeance 8gb (2 x 4gb) 240-pin ddr3 1866

i questions are will this setup run good with a evga SC geforce gtx 760 2gb

and wether or not i cans save $ in anyway im planing to buy theses three parts that being mobo, ram, cpu with my taxes and id like to be able to get a monitor and even a mouse/keyboard with the new rig but seeing that the three parts above cost 556$ alone im not sure if ill be able to do so

*Updated*

Theses are the parts i have bought

psu: Corsair HX750 semi Modular

If you're just gaming get a 3570k and if you can get 1600MHz ram then go for it, there's very little difference in performance. Try to get any money you save and put it towards a 770 instead because it does have decently better performance for ~$340.

going to sound like a moron but im not to sure what an ivy bridge really dose for a CPU

It's the name for the generation of the processor you're getting.

4770k is Haswell, which is newer than Ivy. Ivy are the 3xxx chips. Haswell 4xxx. Sandy is 2xxx.

for the "future" and im not really looking to overclock my CPU that being said i am looking at getting cool master hyper 212 evo just to make sure temps are good inside my rig

An aftermarket cooler is not necessary if you're not overclocking.  The stock will be fine.

What about the rest of the parts?

Why IVY? Also here you go: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

I agree with him. If you're building a completely new rig, there's no reason to go with a previous generation CPU. If you had something more recent, like a Sandy Bridge 2500K, then I say hold onto it, as it's still an amazing performer.

the current rig im using is  a duel core 2.5ghz  so i would think this is a huge upgrade

Is this i5 a big step down i mean i see a lot of i5's being use for gaming but they all seem to overclock their cpus other than that i am very pleased with that price range seeing it has everything i was aiming to get and its in the right price range

Step down from what? The 3570k? If you're not oc'ing, they perform similarly.

It's definitely a step down. It doesn't have Hyperthreading and has less cache.

Also, clock speed isn't all there is to performance. The 4430 is haswell which is a newer architecture with more ipc (instructions per clock) than the 3770k.

In terms of gaming, the difference in performance is generally negligible.
