Has nzxt h510 good airflow?

I didnt say the CPU thermal throttles. Ryzen 3rd gen lose frequency just like Nvidia GPUs and AMD Navi under higher temperature even though they dont throttle

Downdrafts like the stock cooler may be pushing hot air around instead of the exhaust fan, but not a big factor compared to the heatsink size and surface area's effect.

So if im right aftermarket cooler for cpu would not change gpu temps?

I'm running unigine benchmark superposition for 8k test. And from temp graphs it shows that ryzen was pretty cold around 55*C but gpu was 79-80.

So better case would hopefully fix the problem?

If i bought that big monster :D from cooler master then i don't need to invest into AIO?

Superposition doesnt stress CPU at all so that's to be expected

If GPU temps go right back down when you remove the glass from the case, then it's the case's problem.

  • 1 month later...

I have an H510.

Running a 3700x and a GTX1080ti on an Aorus Ultra x570. Using stock fan configuration (top and rear both set as exhaust, although I did replace them with black Noctuas), I have ZERO problems with temps.

I must admit, the case is beautiful, but before I bought it I was concerned that the lack of input fans would give me high temps.  Absolutely NOT a problem.  My CPU idles around 42-45, GPU around 48. Gaming for hours on end, CPU max around 63-65, GPU never goes past 65-67.

Dust isn't really a problem that I can see, but I blow my case out every 6-8 weeks.

I will admit, looking at the case, your brain just screams "I GOTTA HAVE INTAKE FANS!!!", but they are absolutely unnecessary. In my case, anyways.  YMMV.

What do you use for cpu cooling? I have the h500 and im having high gpu temps, getting to the 75+ under load and I think it's because Im using the stock cpu cooler for the 3600x which push air in the direction of the mobo, Im waiting for a coolermaster 212 to switch and see if ir changes something, but meanwhile im worried i wont be able to play fearing for the gpu temps...I have the rtx 2070 gigabyte winforce 2x (the one with 2 fans), thanks

75ºC is nothing to worry about. GPU's typically will go into the 80's before they go below base clocks, officially thermal throttling. Unless the fans spin so fast that theyr'e too loud for you, I'd say you're in a good spot.

I put the fan curve so the fans spin 100% after 65C. I dont mind the noise cause Im always playing with headset, but these temps scares me

75ºC is fine. Nothing to worry about.

Hi.

I have currently this case tg4 sharkoon and the fans are not too effective.

Cpu amd ryzen 5 3600x (stock cooler)

Gpu Gigabyte rtx 2070 8gb.

CPU temp 60-75*C

GPU temp 75-85*C

And the case is so hot.

If i play games(GPU 99% usage) temp are okey but after sometime case gets hot and then gpu and cpu temp changes.

If gpu usage go down then cpu and other temp go down.

If i open glass panel i get around 20*C down.

Thanks for any help.

I use the H510i.

My CPU cooler is Noctua NH-U12, 2 fans. CPU is 8700 non-k.

GPU is RTX 2070S Founders Edition.

2 140mm Noctua Chromax at front intake || 1 120mm Noctua Chromax at top exhaust.

(Intake fans match GPU fan curve, exhaust fans match CPU fan curve)

My CPU temps are less than 60C during gaming, synthetic loads will not exceed 75C. (Max fan speed 80%)

My GPU temps are no more than 70C, with fans running 70%. (Power/Temperature Limits are default, +120 Core/+500 Memory)
